On the morning of April 4, 2023, a delegation from Josai International University (JIU) in Japan, led by Vice President Masato Kurabayashi and accompanied by Gong Wei (Deputy Director of the International Education Center), paid a visit to HUHST for academic exchange. The meeting was attended by Prof. Liu Tieming (Party Secretary of HUHST) and Prof. Chen Zhiguo (Member of CPC Committee and Vice President of HUHST). Leaders from the International Cooperation and Exchange Office and the School of Foreign Studies, were also present at the meeting. Specific cooperation matters were discussed in a roundtable format, which was chaired by Prof. Chen Zhiguo.

Kurabayashi showed keen interest in the history and culture of Loudi City and expressed anticipation for deepening cooperation between the two universities.

During the discussion, both universities gave detailed and vivid presentations on their respective academic situations. Preliminary discussions on concrete collaborative projects, such as the "2+2" and "3+1+2" programs, took place.
